Terms of Service

Last updated: May 3, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your access to and use of BankToBooks ("Service"). By joining the waitlist, accessing the beta, or using any feature, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. The Service

BankToBooks is a statement-parsing service that converts PDF financial statements into structured CSV data. It is currently in private beta. Features, pricing, formats supported, and availability may change. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.

3. Beta status — no warranty

Because the Service is in beta:

  • We provide it as-is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any parsed data before relying on it for accounting, tax, or audit purposes.
  • We make best-effort accuracy claims but make no guarantee that every cell of every statement will parse correctly.
  • Downtime, format changes by upstream banks, or data-loss events may occur.

4. Your account and content

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the email address you provide and for keeping any future credentials confidential.
  • You retain ownership of every PDF you upload and every CSV we generate. We don't sell, share, or train models on your content.
  • By uploading a document, you confirm you have the right to do so under your own client agreements and applicable law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit malware, polluted PDFs, or content designed to break the parsing pipeline.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to bypass rate limits or security controls.
  • Use the Service for activities prohibited by US, EU, or Colombian law — including money laundering, sanctions violations, or unauthorized access to third-party accounts.
  • Resell or rebrand the Service without a written agreement.

6. Pricing during and after beta

The first 50 bookkeepers on the waitlist get free access through December 31, 2026. Standard pricing thereafter is expected between $49 and $99 per month per bookkeeper, with API and agent-tier plans priced separately. You will be notified at least 30 days before any charge takes effect.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@banktobooks.app. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or use the Service for unlawful purposes.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BankToBooks and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data. In any case, total aggregate liability is capped at (a) the total fees you paid in the twelve months prior to the claim, or (b) USD $100, whichever is greater.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia during the beta phase. When BankToBooks transitions to a US corporate entity, governing law will move to Delaware (USA) and we will give registered users at least 30 days' notice before that change takes effect.

10. Changes

We may revise these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use after such changes means you accept the revised Terms.
